The Student

Upon arrival at Honolulu International Airport, the student will be met by our representative and taken to their homestay family. In some cases, we may ask their host parent to act as our representative.

Ohanaryugaku will introduce students to high schools and universities and complete application and other enrollment documents required by the school.
Ohanaryugaku will prepare necessary documents to submit to a high school or university for admission. Once the student is accepted, the student and their parents will be informed directly or through their agent.

Ohanaryugaku will provide assistance to the studentin settling into their school. We will accompany the student on the first day of their school and introduce them to the Director of Admission. We will make sure that the student chooses the correct bus for travel to and from school.

We will arrange travel and health insurance at the student's request. All schools in Hawaii require that the student carry their own health insurance. Health insurance may be obtained from their own country or from a local insurance company. We will arrange extra tutoring that may be required for each subject. Extra tutoring will be at student's cost. (Most school provide one period a day for tutorial. We recommend that the student take advantage of this service.) We will attend parent-teacher conference and school functions and monitor student's progress and maintain contact with his or her school.

The Parents

We will provide information on regular basis regarding their student's progress by e-mail, fax, or telephone. We will provide assistance to parents when they visit their student in terms of travel, accommodation, and meeting with teachers and school administrators.

The School

Ohanaryugaku will maintain regular contact with the school and attend Parent-Teacher Conferences. We will act on the parent's behalf in dealing with the school and be available to discuss matters of concern. We will represent the student if any problems arise. We will attend school functions that concern the student, e.g. information briefings and parent/teacher interviews.
